SCSI Business Solutions is the top reseller of Exact Software in Tennessee, having made the software giant’s nationwide Top 20 list for the fourth straight year.

Our ability to remain on the Top 20 list consistently is a testament to the dedication of the staff at SCSI. Obviously, we’re pleased with the sales, but what we’re most proud of is helping our clients use these tools to grow and improve their businesses.

Of SCSI’s 400-plus clients nationwide, more than 100 are using Exact’s Macola Progression, ES and/or e-Synergy to run their operations. Additionally, programmers at SCSI have custom-written software to interface with these programs.

Because we’ve been a Macola reseller since the mid-1990s, we have a strong understanding of the product and know how to adapt it to the needs of the individual business.

Macola Progression and ES are a pair of next-generation of accounting and enterprise resource planning software programs. E-Synergy is a Web-based collaboration platform that unifies all resources within an organization – people, knowledge, workflow, financials, logistics and projects – in a single database and interface.

Along with our relationship with The Netherlands-based Exact Software, SCSI is a Certified Partner with Microsoft Corporation, FrontRange Solutions and Sage Software.

  McMillan studies security
SCSI Marketing Director Jack McMillan has achieved Security Solutions Competency from Microsoft Corporation after completing all required coursework and passing the final exam.

“Because SCSI Business Solutions has a renewed focus on Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning, I felt it was imperative I gain a solid foundation on the risks businesses face and what steps can be taken to prevent them,” McMillan said upon completing the exam with a 100 percent score. “When I advise clients on how to protect themselves from disaster, I intend to provide the best information available.”

The course included modules on addressing security concerns, using the Microsoft Security Assessment Tool, ISA Server 2004 and Windows XP desktop security and reliability.

The Useful and Not-So-Useful Site of the Month

Located below are two links to Wes’s Useful and Not So Useful Sites of the month. Don’t forget that we would like for everyone to submit their favorite "Useful” and “Not So Useful” Sites for next month's e-newsletter. If your sites are selected, we will be sure and include your name, company name, and web address in next month's Spotlight! Please send your favorite sites to wluallen@scsi-usa.com.

Useful Site of the Month:
http://www.greasecar.com/ -  It's not easy being Green...but it's starting to become a necessity. Being Green is my theme for the Useful & Not-So Useful Sites of the month. With fuel prices spinning out of control, my Useful site of the month is www.greasecar.com. Grease Car is everything you ever need to know about converting your existing fuel system over to one that runs on Vegetable Oil. With all the fast food restaurants that have to dispose of used French Fry Grease, think about the near limitless supply of fuel.

With this topic, both of my sites are useful. My second site is http://www.sustainlane.com/, which advertises itself as "The Web's best community resource for healthy and sustainable living." If you visit the site, make sure you check out "The Sled" - Sustain Lane e-Directory - for local businesses offering green alternatives to other businesses.
